Jade Residence
Volcano, Hawaii

A two-bedroom residence set into a densely forested property. A drop-off in the volcanic site was retained to provide a seamless transition from the garage slab to the post-and-pier dwelling. The building and its spaces are arranged to optimize daylighting and protect against prevailing weather.
